Our present constitution, although uncodified, is still in a sense, written, however it can be found in a number of different sources, which are constantly developing and evolving. Six main forms of out constitution may be included into a (hypothetical) draft of a new constitution. First and foremost, Acts of Parliament, the laws made by the governing, elected body, covering most topics of constitutional law. Most important of these include the Magna Carta, the Petition of Right, the Bill of Rights and also the Act of Settlement 1700. Common law must also be incorporated, i.e. Laws made by Judges by the doctrine of judicial precedent and the interpretation of Statutes, thirdly, privileges which the monarch holds such as declaring war and the making of Treaties.
